Privacy Policy

When you use MoveBoard, we may collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Email address and name when you register or contact us.
• Move details: Origin and destination location (city/state level), move date, and property type.
• Inventory data: Item names, quantities, cubic footage, and weight estimates generated during your AI inventory session.
• Photos and video: Images captured during the AI camera scanning session. These are processed to identify items and are not stored indefinitely.
• Payment information: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. MoveBoard does not store credit card numbers or bank details.
• Usage data: Pages visited, feature interactions, and device/browser type for analytics purposes.

We use collected data to:

• Match your inventory listing with qualified, verified Movers in your area.
• Deliver competitive bids and facilitate communication between you and Movers.
• Improve the accuracy of our AI inventory recognition models.
• Send transactional emails (listing confirmation, bid notifications).
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We share your information only as described below:

• Selected Movers: When you publish a listing, your anonymized inventory (no name or address) is shared with verified Movers. Your full contact details are shared only with the Mover you choose to book.
• Service providers: We use Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI processing), and Resend (email delivery). These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services.
• We never sell your data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

MoveBoard uses essential cookies to maintain your session and prevent fraud. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the platform may not function correctly.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data. Note that certain records may be retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.
• Data export: Request your inventory data in a machine-readable format (JSON or CSV).
• Opt out: Unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time via the link in any email we send.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@moveboard.app. We will respond within 30 days.

We retain inventory data and account information for up to 24 months after your last activity, or until you request deletion. Photo data captured during scanning sessions is not retained beyond the active session unless explicitly saved by you.

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit and at rest. Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel only. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
